WOODBURY - A Glassboro man who was convicted of using a knife to rob a man in Franklinville in 2006 lost his appeal in the case this week when a two-judge court ruled that he had effective legal council. Richard R. Gardner, 34, was convicted in 2008 of armed robbery, theft, conspiracy, disorderly persons simple assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and sentenced to 18 years in prison. Comment?

WOODBURY - Two men have been indicted on charges stemming from a 2015 home invasion and brutal assault in Franklinville where the victim was pistol whipped multiple times. Jeremy Barcliff, 24 of Philadelphia, and William Walls, 30 of Clayton, are charged with aggravated assault, burglary, criminal restraint, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and other weapons charges.
