  • Everett teen convicted of second-degree murder

    An Everett teenager was found guilty of second degree murder by a jury in Middlesex Superior Court Friday in connection to the shooting death of 19-year-old Omar Wilfredo Reyes of Everett in 2016, prosecutors said. Cristian Nunez, 19, of Everett, was one of three men charged in the fatal shooting on Jan. 3 2016 that prosecutors have previously said may be linked to the MS-13 gang.

    An Everett man with the dream of becoming a professional wrestler was arrested early on Saturday morning when he was caught flipping over picnic tables at the Twist and Shake on Revere Beach Boulevard. Around 12:30 a.m., police on routine patrol observed a man flipping over picnic tables at the parlor.

    The owner of one of the vehicles reported at 9:44 a.m. that someone entered and ransacked it but nothing was taken. At 8:58 p.m. a wallet containing a driver's license, social security card and two credit cards and .40-caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun were reported taken from a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup.
