Tom Fallis was charged with the second-degree murder of his wife, Ashley Fallis, on Jan. 1, 2012. After a three-week trial in March and a little more than three hours of deliberation, a Weld District Court jury decided Tom Fallis was not guilty. Comment?

A man on Thursday was sentenced in Weld County to 80 years in prison after he was convicted by a jury earlier this year of attempted murder of a peace officer, among other charges. The morning of Jan. 30, 2015, authorities said the man, Hugo Garza, 31, was in a fight with a woman who was standing near his truck in Evans. Comment?

Evans Master Patrol Officer Luke Croissant said the break-in at the Family Dollar, 825 31st St. in Evans, happened about 4:30 a.m. He said surveillance video shows what appears to be a teenage boy breaking the two glass front doors and entering the store. He said it wasn't immediately known if the suspect took anything. Comment?
