My wife is going to rent a car for her son to drive because he has a DWI and does not have a driver's license. He's my stepson
If he gets stopped I assume he will get a ticket for driving without a drivers license. Will she be in trouble too since she rented him the car and she knew he didn't have a driver's license? If he has a wreck and hurts someone will she get sued . She said her liability insurance cover any damages do I don't need to worry. This sounds crazy to me. Will I get sued too and if so will I be liable for any damages too since she is my wife? Thanks
Not to oversimplify here, but...you're right, she's wrong. Her insurance will not cover an unlicensed driver, she could...
In the state of Texas, is an offense considered an arrest or conviction? Two DWI arrest, first lowered.
Hello, just doing research and a lot seems vague (hence why we have attorneys). I was recently arrested for my second DWI after 9 years and the first one was dropped to obs hwy/deferred. It seems that I am being prosecuted as a second offense but I was curious it that includes a conviction on the first arrest or not. I also just "received" by blood warrant results (4 months later from my attorney) and by the spreadsheet it shows 0.18. What are the typical increased measurements per this BAC? I'm just trying to prepare myself for a long road ahead. I appreciate any advice.
You really ought to be posing these questions to your attorney but here goes: You cannot be prosecuted for a second DWI...
Where can I find a good DWI attorney in Tarrant County, TX who will do a payment plan?
Need help finding an attorney to help with my DWI case. Must be someone whose rates are affordable for an indigent woman with a family; definitely need a payment plan. First-time DWI arrest in Euless, TX on Aug 23rd. Submitted to sobriety tests/breathalyzer @ police station. BAC of .15, and there was an at-fault auto accident (no injuries) associated, with witnesses. This is all so new, and I need help with things like, what happens to my driver's license? The court ordered an interlock device, but my car is broken down so I don't know if that applies to me? Can't afford a hefty fine in addition to everything else I have to pay for, and also can't afford jail time, for fear of losing my job due to absenteeism. What can I do?? Thanks so much for your help..
Ill change your practice area to DUI in the hopes you get more responses from attorneys in your area. Good luck.

I was arrested for public intoxication and wasn't tested for alcohol.
A friend and I were at my apartment pool. I was swimming in the water, my buddy sitting at a table under an umbrella. We had been there for about 3 hours enjoying the day, drinking a couple mixed drinks. We were not drunk by any means, not yelling, not cursing, A cop comes up to my buddy and waves me to come over. Demands that we leave the pool because we are drunk. We pack up our things and go out the gate and start walking, I turn and go back into the pool because I wanted to go talk to my apartment management. He demands that I stop and go home, I don't believe he has the right to make me go home? I tell him I am going to talk to them again, he comes over arrests us both. We are both charged with public intoxication. No alcohol test of any kind is ever given. What do I do?

Felony DWI! What should I expect?
I was in a minor car accident. No injuries, kids in my car. First offense. I know what the penalties are 180 days-2 years in State Jail. What am I really looking at. Money is tight to get a lawyer quickly. The people I hit are not pressing charges. I have already started AA classes. I'm trying to avoid jail time.
You are correct that a first offense DWI, with a Child Passenger, is a State Jail Felony. And yes, a State Jail Felony...
