I was cited with a DUI last night. Tomorrow is my initial court hearing. What should I do at this initial hearing?
I am 53 years of age and have a clean driving record, with the exception of a "failure to control" citation that I was given last year. This is my first, (and only) DUI. I hit the median in the center of the highway and probably totaled my wife's car. There were no other people or vehicles involved. I took a breathalyzer test and blew a .15. - also I did not have insurance on my wife's car.
You need to go in and plead NOT GUILTY and then consult an attorney ASAP! Find one in your area through AVVO. This is...
Would this ever be allowed ?
My ex boyfriend arrested for dui. says he had to spend 3 days in a hotel and was able to go to work and back home. claims he had a 10000 dollar bond from a friends father putting up his home as bond. now he says he has to go back to court for sentensing and his lawyer is saying he might be able to get him house arrest for a month instead of 30 days jail tme. First is this possible, and secondly if he was arrested and has since moved to a new place, where would he serve that 30 days house arrest. He claims he would be able to maintain a job and drive to work. this answer determines if i ever trust him again. The person who put up his bond, if there was a bond, is an alcoholic facing charges of her own. he came to me for help.
Typically the 3 day hotel program is part of the court's sanction, however his attorney may have had him complete the...
Will a DUI affect my application for change of status?
I came to the US with a B1 visa. My wife came to the US with a green card and she is still a green card holder. She immediately filed for me as her immediate relative . It's been a long wait process. I was told my priority date has to become current before my wife can file for a change of status for me. After more than two years of waiting, my priority date is now current and my wife wants to file for a change of status for me. She is not a citizen yet. I fear two things; 1st i have been out of status for almost two years now, 2nd, i had a DUI some time last year where i i was placed on two years probation. My question is whether my wife can successfully file for a change of status for me given the circumstances and secondly, will my DUI record affect this application?
To adjust status based on a preference petition you must be in status. You will not be permitted to adjust status until...

In Ohio how far will they extradite for a misdemeanor DUI?
I was charged with my third DUI in Bucyrus Ohio. I am wondering how many counties away or how far away they would extradite me for that warrant. I live in Portsmouth Ohio and work in Columbus Ohio.
For a third OVI they will pick you up from anywhere in Ohio.
How can the state of WV have my license suspended in the state of OH for a 2012 DUI that I paid fines and attended required cla?
I recently turned 25 and went to get a new drivers license in Ohio. I was informed there was a block on my license and I was given a number to call. While in college in WV in 2012 I got a DUI. I obtained a lawyer, paid my fines, attended classes and thought I met all of the required punishment. I have never had a WV drivers license When I called the number in WV I was informed that I now have to have an interlock installed in the car I drive in OH because of the conviction from several years ago which I thought all was taken care of. Help!

You should really contact a lawyer in PA and discuss the entire case with him/her. I do not recommend representing...
