Can I take back a voluntary statement? Or say that I was drunk when I wrote it?
I was arrested for a retail theft and while in custody, a detective from another city who was investigating a case for me came and tricked me into signing a voluntary statement. He requests that I come into his police station and I can bond out again. He says they will just finger print me and let me go. Was that voluntary statement turning myself in? And if so can I take it back? He threatens to send a warrant if I don't come in. Why don't I already have a warrant?
You cannot take back a statement. Hire an attorney to handle your case.
Can state seize my car, how soon and what happens to my license?
4th violation of BAIID. Got letter earlier this week extending time 3 more months. Got letter today saying my car will be seized and forfeited. The car is in my husband's name only. Letter said nothing about status of my license/permit.

Out of state DUI, I'm have a Illinois license and received a DUI in Minnesota
While attening college in Minnesota, I got a DUI in Feb of 2011. My license was suspended in MN for 3 months. I went to court and received a conviction and paid $500 in fines, I had to take the alcohol and drug evaluation and complete a DUI 5 hr course. After that I paid $800 to reinstate my drivers license. Sooo I thought I was done!!! I moved back to IL after graduating in May 2011. Illinois revoked my drivers license on June 2011 for 1 year. I understand they had to revoke my license... but question is... I was eligible to reinstate my license on June 2012, I went into a hearing officer to get it done and he told me I have to take the alcohol and drug evaluation again from Illinois and take another DUI course in IL. Why do I have to do this again???? I already did it in Minnesota!!
Because you violated your Il drivers license that's why. The evaluator in IL cannot waive the ten hour course but may...
Can I get my DUI supervision reinstated?
Got a DUI in 1995, did classes and victim impact panel, but did not appear at the end of supervision date and my supervision was revoked and a conviction was entered in 1996. I know it is very old, but there is an outstanding warrant so maybe the case is technically still open. I am wanting to go back in to get the supervision reinstated and then satisfactorily terminated so the "license revocation" will be removed. Can this be done? And if not, what am I supposed to do now? I don't live in Illinois anymore, but just want to clear this up
You need to contact the attorney who handled this matter or another attorney to address this for you. Although you no...
