In recent years, Pennsylvania college and university towns, including Edinboro, have introduced new housing ordinances which restrict the use of single-family homes, as college student rentals. If approved House Bill 809 would override those measures, considered by some landlords as discriminatory. Comment?

A former northwestern Pennsylvania university student has been ordered to stand trial on attempted homicide and other charges in what police say was a drug-related shooting of two other students. The Erie Times-News reports 20-year-old Devin Stevenson, of Venus, Venango County, was an Edinboro University student when the shooting occurred at an off-campus apartment March 20. Police testified Stevenson arrived at the police station covered in blood, saying he had shot two men who tried to rob him. Comment?
