On Tuesday at approximately 0145 hours Durant Patrol Officers were dispatched to Love's County Store in reference to an armed robbery, the Durant Police Department said, in a news release. Officers were advised a male subject wearing a tan jacket had robbed the store taking $256 cash, left northbound and was armed with a gun. Comment?

A Durant man arrested and charged last year after authorities said they found seven trailers containing marijuana plants on his property was sentenced to 20 years in prison with 15 of those years suspended. Forty-nine-year-old David Wayne Murphree pleaded no contest this week to cultivation of marijuana. Comment?
