State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred sometime between Jan. 19 and Sunday on Lyleville Road in Beccaria Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took the victim's Rossi .38 caliber pistol with an orange barrel, double action, orange sight and a red vent. Comment?

A Kentucky man accused of selling a gun to a man involved with a local methamphetamine ring has been apprehended. Charges were filed against Victor P. Elliott, 57, along with several others arrested after the "Operation Ice Storm" drug investigation in March of 2016. Comment?

District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week. He identified the fugitive as Anastasia Forrest, 41, of Franklin Street, DuBois. Comment?

Forrest is wanted for failure to appear in court on theft charges. In April of 2016, police say Forrest stole merchandise from a local store and later returned the stolen items in exchange for store gift cards. Comment?

Michele Derrick, 51, Altoona, had her probation revoked. On a charge of retail theft, she was resentenced to serve 18 months to five years in the state prison for women in Muncy. Comment?

Jacob P. Logan, 33, Jefferson County Prison, pleaded guilty to charges of theft by unlawful taking and simple assault and was ordered to serve one year to three years in the Western Diagnostic Classification Center. He was fined $1 on each charge, is to refrain from the use and possession of alcohol and controlled substances, not enter any establishment that primarily sells, provides or permits alcohol, complete anger management counseling, and have no contact with the victim or family nor enter onto their property.
