  • DuBois Man to Stand Trial in Robbery Case

    Keith John Parlor, 26, was charged by DuBois City police with two counts each of robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and simple assault, as well as burglary, false imprisonment and defiant trespass after an incident on Olive Avenue on July 7. On Friday during centralized court at District Judge Patrick Ford's office, Parlor waived his right to a preliminary hearing, sending his case on to the court of common pleas to be scheduled for trial. According to the affidavit of probable cause, police responding to a report of a robbery talked with Parlor, who lived near the victim's home.

    State police reported on a drug-related incident that occurred Oct. 27 on Interstate 80 east in Brookville Borough. A 19-year-old DuBois woman was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash, at which time she was allegedly found to be under the influence of marijuana and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

    Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 2 at 5:09 p.m. on the 1200-block of S. 2nd Street. One driver was asked to complete a field sobriety test where it was discovered that Larry Gillingham, 62, showed signs of impairment.

    Police received a report of a domestic disturbance that took place in a vehicle in the parking lot of McDonald's on S. 2nd Street. Joshua Root, 33, of Clearfield, allegedly spit in a 30-year-old female's face, took her phone and threw it, causing damage to the vehicle.

    State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Oct. 9 on Laura Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly spray-painted the shed located at the Nativity of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery.
