Wisconsin DUI and Drivers License Compact States.
I was a sales rep. with a company car and have lost my job due to the dui, as a dui is grounds for termination. I am devasted as I am no longer able to get a sales position in the field that I have been in for the majority of my adult life. I am seriously looking at relocating to a non-compact state as I can no longer work here in Wisconsin. To be clear I have not been convicted of the dui yet, but on my driving record it has the PAC etc violation. Is it best to move and apply for a DL in a non-compact state before the conviction? Or could I still move with the conviction on my DL ? I need to have a clean DL report for employment. In either preceding scenerio will the dui transfer if I apply for a DL in a non-compact state? Plz no answers regarding hiring a WI attorney for my dui.
It doesn't matter where you go, odds are good that this conviction will eventually catch up with you. Even non-compact...

How long can the state of Minnesota hold your driving privileges from a dwi incident?
I got a dwi charge back in 1991 in Minnesota, it was my 3rd alcohol related offense within 3 yes. I have held a Wisconsin drivers license since 1991 without any traffic violations.
Until you satisfy all reinstatement requirements with the MN DPS. Give them a call if you are unsure of what those...
Why am i being told by the county assessor for my 1ST OWI alcohol assessment to go to six weeks of AODA inpatient treatment?
I received my 1st OWI in Wisconsin April 2013. I voluntarily put myself in a Veteran Affairs inpatient AODA program for six weeks in Milwaukee July 2013. I stayed an additional five weeks in another inpatient program for mental health. After finally paying off all court fines regarding the OWI, i met with a Winnebago County lady for my mandatory alcohol assessment in July 2015. She said I can only keep my license by going back to the same program for six weeks again even though i already completed it. I feel i am being punished twice and feel morally disgusted.
Treatment is not a punishment. If you returned to drinking, or in the assessor's opinion abusing alcohol, you'll need...
How long does the police have after an accident to test you or draw blood for a DUI charge
I was involved in a one vehicle accident where I rolled my truck. I was taken to the hospital via ambulance. After several CT scans some shots and being on a backboard for approximately 4 hrs a police officer asked me to sign a consent form for a blood draw. Then came back with a DUI citation listing no back level on it. Stating that it would tack some time to get the results back. Is this standard? This I don't feel is right due t the time duration and does not say anything about the bac at the time of the accident
A test taken more than three hours after the time of driving is neither automatically admissible nor presumed to...
When an ankle bracelet is issued, do you have to stay in the same city it was issued?
My step daughter might get one for 2 DWI's. And i was wondering if she will have to stay in the same city it was issued?
This needs to be addressed by the court at the time of sentencing. She should be talking with an OWI defense lawyer...
