DEMING >> A former Deming Public Schools official was sentenced to 54 years in prison Monday on three counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration. A jury in New Mexico Sixth Judicial District Court in Deming found Brian Dunnihoo, 56, guilty back in April for having sex with a child under the age of 13. The victim was his daughter. Comment?

Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies are urging church parishioners to be vigilant and be aware of anything or anyone that appears suspicious at their churches this weekend. No one was injured in the explosions outside Calvary Baptist Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church and there was relatively minor damage to the two buildings. Comment?

A Luna County resident will be more cautious after losing more than $50,000 in personal belongings, home furnishings and a vast firearm collection. The Luna County Sheriff's Office is investigating the burglary case that occurred on Thursday, July 23, at a residence on the 4600 block of Overhill Road on Deming's northeast quadrant. Comment?
