Wisconsin First time dui, nothing ever on myrecord
I was pulled over for speeding. Officer asked if I had been drinking because he could smell it. Long story short, I blew .14 at the station. I can't afford an attorney. What are my chances of license suspension being only 3 or 6 months. And other obligations I will need to fulfill if I plead guilty. Will it be done at the mandatory court appearance. Or will there be more court dates. I am very ashamed because of my poor decision.
Your license will be suspended for six months, you will not have to have an IID (this is an interlock device you are...
Wisconsin - can you plead wet wreckless in wisconsin
Can a plea be entered as wet wreckless in wisconsin if you plead guilty at the mandatory hearing. I thought if you plead guilty it is over no second court appearance.
Most prosecutor's and many judges will not reduce an OWI to a reckless.
CDL eligibility after multiple OWI,DUI
I have never had a cdl , I have three DUI's one in 2012 and two in 2014. It was a bad time in my life and I have then been much more responsible. On the rare occasion if I drink I dont drive period. I dont question how many drinks or how long, its anything and no driving. I am running a successfull construction business but need a cdl to transport my equipment legally. Wisconsin says 3 major violations result in a lifetime cdl ban, even if you were in a passanger car. I didnt have a cdl, does this disqualify me from ever getting one? Expungment is out of the question , wisconsin does not do that. The law is unclear if the driver has never had a cdl to begin with.
The federal regulations are not unclear. § 383.51 ("Disqualification of drivers. (a) General. (1) A person required...
If you could provide any information about how long these offenses will be on my record that would be very helpful. Thank you.
Hello, I recently received two tickets; one for underage drinking and another for violating closing hours of a campus facility in Madison, WI. I have not been convicted of any crimes previously.
You should contest the charges and consider hiring local counsel if you're not comfortable with doing that yourself....

Maybe. You're on a free, online forum. Hire and pay a lawyer if you're serious about contesting the charge.
I have a il drivers license, and was arrested for owi in WI. Is my license valid to drive in ill?
I have a il drivers license, and was arrested for owi in WI. Is my license valid to drive in ill, because I was suspended in another state? I blew .096
It depends on whether the IL Secretary of State has taken any action against your license as consequence of the WI...
Do I have any legal ground to appeal or request the court remove the interlock requirement the DMV is imposing?
After conviction for OWI, I was sentenced to 16 mo. license revocation, & 16 mo. w/ignition interlock device, both to begin immediately. The Comment for the ignition interlock sentence on the Judgement of Conviction says 'To commence forthwith.' The judge told me I needed to have it installed as soon as possible. So I did. I had the interlock device on my car for the required 16 months, though I was unable to drive for that time. Now that I'm getting my license back, the DMV tells me that the 16 months don't start until my license is reinstated, and that I need to have an interlock device on my car for another 16 months, though I've already complied w/the sentence as directed by the judge.
Actually, all you have complied with is the IID component of your sentence as you misunderstood it. The law does...
