What can I expect to happen in court.
I was pulled over for failure to dim.The officer conducted a field sobriety and breath test.My BAC was .085 and I was charged with 2 OVI's. I have 3 priors.1986,1996,2000.
You should have been charged as a first offense DUI since you do not have a prior DUI within 6 years. However the...
I was picked up in Ohio for an Ovi, I refused the field sobriety test giving personal reasons.
I was taken to the police station, told the officer I did not want the breathalyzer, twice. However after 20 mins he gave it to me anyways and I accepted. I was never given my Miranda rights nor and I told the officer I don't understand the rights I was being told. When I asked to repeat the information he said no I already did them once. The only reason I complied with the officer was from the threats of the officer of going to jail, 1 year license suspension and so on. Also I had no intention on driving just locking my vehicle when some man got in and asked for a ride home. I told him no, but he never got out. I ended up driving him. The man kept trying to distract me and make left turns then saying not here. Once the cop came to the window the man said " can I bail now" the cop said yes

I got a theft charge a couple years ago, it was under $500, I stole alcohol. Soon after I then got a DUI. I didn't know if I was still eligible for expungement.
No. The Ohio Supreme Court has held that a DUI conviction prevents a defendant from being considered a "first offender"...
What are my options career wise if I have a theft conviction from June 2009 and a DUI conviction from May 2009?
I was arrested October 2008 for petty theft. I was 19 and stealing alcohol in Ohio. I had a serious drug and alcohol problem. I received intervention in lieu of conviction on March 4, 2009 but got a DUI on March 9, 2009 in another county in Ohio. I plead guilty to stay out of jail from the advice of my public defender. This opened my other case when I told my PO and was convicted of theft in June 2009. My PO told me I would be able to get an expungement for the theft charge, but I can't. The DUI counts as a subsequent offense, something I was NEVER told. I am a senior at a University majoring in accounting and am afraid that all my hard work and money will be useless. I am clean and sober now, in church, in school, married, and have turned my life around completely. What can I do?
First and foremost do not despair! In the short term it will be a problem however for most entry level positions the...
