Suspect in Coralville murder granted supervised release Podhajsky 09/20/16 The suspect in a more than 30-year-old murder case has been granted supervised release. The Gazette reports a judge on Monday ordered 58-year-old Anthony Burtch of Iowa City be allowed to leave prison. Comment?

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is searching for a man after police say he stole from a parked car in Coralville. Coralville police said the suspect took property from an unlocked vehicle near Casa Azul, 708 1st Ave., on the morning of September 3. The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 17 and 21. He's approximately 5 foot 6 to 5 foot 8. Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect. Comment?

After Iowa lawyer Raymond Tinnian was found guilty of disorderly conduct, investigators had an obvious suspect when jurors and witnesses started receiving threats. Other than Tinnian, who else would leave a type-written note threatening to kill a juror for "your verdict"? But Tinnian alleges in a federal lawsuit filed Monday investigators rushed to judgment, were fooled by his longtime enemy and arrested and charged the wrong man. Comment?

Police have taken a Coralville man into custody after he tried to sell a stolen phone back to its rightful owner. Police say 59-year-old Michael Roe had made arrangements to meet the phone's owner on Monday so he could return the phone. Comment?
