I am 18, a student at Grand Valley State University, and I only blew a .015. I had barely anything to drink. Everyone else (10 others) who got MIPs with me blew way higher than me. What are my chances of getting this misdimeter off my record? I cant have this effect my FAFSA
Most likely if you obtain representation by an experienced criminal defense attorney you could avoid a conviction in...
Was driving home after having a couple of beers (felt perfectly fine to drive) at no point did I feel drunk or even get a head change.. Had an incident where I had to pull over to the side of the road..never expecting to end up getting stuck..called my insurance company to send a tow truck over and drop off my car at my house..and as I was waiting police showed up on the scene (I wasn't in my car)....questioning led to sobriety field test (did good) then blew a BAC of .11 and arrested me on the spot...now got charged with traffic crash and OWI...I feel like that wasn't right...can I fight that for a lesser charge or maybe get all charges dropped?..I need some advise I mean I was never pulled over or was really in an accident!!
Sounds like you need a good criminal defense attorney.
Can I get deported for a first offense dui in Michigan?
The answer to your question depends on a number of other issues. For example, do you have legal status in the United...
Ex husband has no license due to DWI's. He went into a ditch and left his truck. It was impounded. Went to pick it up and when asked who was driving, he pointed the finger at son and said he was. Son was taken aside and made up a story because he doesn't want his dad to go to jail. Son is realizing now that he may lose his DL. How can my son tell the court that he lied for his dad without getting into deeper water? My son wants his dad to get some help with his drinking, but dad gets mad at son when it get brought up. Dad has a violent history-shot and killed 2 of my 3 horses 20 years back because he was mad.
You did not mention your son's age. If your son is 18 or over he needs to consult with an experienced criminal defense...
My roommate was recently charged with her second DUI. Her sentence is 45 days w/ no license, then restricted w/ interlocker, and sobriety court w/ 2 years probation. Because of her probation, I am not allowed to have alcohol where I pay to live, I can't have a fire where alcohol is involved. I feel like the law is infringing on my rights even though I've done nothing wrong. I've heard several opinions, some say i can have it in my room (why bother?), others say that common area is fine as long as there is nothing in her room because that is the only area she controls. I just want to know if the law is overstepping and if I can argue for my rights. I'm 24 years old and according to the law, can't have a beer with my dinner at the dining room table.
It does not impact you whatsoever. You have no court order against you regarding alcohol or anything else. Your...
I received an OWI in Grand Haven,MI in December of last year and plead guilty because I was on Leave from the Army. It is my second however, the first was over 8 years ago. The Judge allowed me to leave as long as I would be back for the sentencing and as long as I enteredSubstance Abuse counseling I have done what was asked, but my leave was denied because I'm pending reassignment. I don't want to lose my career. What can I do?
Get something in writing (preferably signed and dated) from your commanding officer to prove you can't appear for the...
I recently got a second dui and have a few weeks to go before I can get the restricted license. I am in the sobriety court program which allows for me to get it in 45-60 days after court probation started.I have 2 vehicles. One I plan on driving and I know the interlock will be installed so I can drive it. I don't plan on driving the other one but can I still get plates for it? will they lock it up?can someone else get plates on it and how do you go about doing that?
Every vehicle you operate and/or own must have the interlock device installed. If you transfer plates to someone else,...
