How do i petition the court to not have to have interlock for license
I have never had any alcohol convictions what so ever. However when I was 17 I had a duid and am now required to acquire the interlock system to get my license back. I am now 29 years old and have been sober for 4 years. I have graduated multiple drug rehab programs and intensive outpatient treatments. I do not have any positive drug ua's in said time.
I'm not aware of any standing mechanism to do what you ask. The interlock requirement is not one that is imposed by...
Early reinstatement with Interlock Device in Colorado?
Every time I call the alcohol department in Denver I seem to receive a different answer, so I got the Interlock installed in February and was supposed to get it removed in October. I had a fail in March and this is where the discrepancies of the rules and definitions apply. I've been told that a "fail" disregards the whole month and in March I restarted so I would be eligible for early removal 4 months from March, so July. Other employees have told me that it would be impossible to get it removed early with the fail and that I should schedule a hearing to see if they can remove it. Almost every time they have assured me that unless I fail 3 times I will not get extended, is this wishful thinking? Also the definition of a "fail" changes regularly, some say I can fail 50 times in one month (not literally) but that month counts as one regardless of how many, or is it every individual fail is considered a fail? Also if I schedule a hearing and they cannot remove the fail will I receive any type of penalty? Would it be best to just leave it alone, and try to get it removed in October? Thanks for any and all advice.

Trying to revoke deferred sentence, Can I take paperwork in at anytime or do I need to wait for the court date?
I had a DUI last year and it was a first offence of any kind... I got a deferred sentence. I just reserved a letter stating that I had a hearing to revoke my deferred sentence for failing to do 42 hours of therapy. I had the paper work showing I completed the 42 hours. Can I just take this down to the court house or do I have to wait until the court date?
If you have a hearing scheduled, that is when the court will look at your evidence. You would be wise to speak with a...

Is there a way I can take responsibility for my container after the fact?
My closest friend took responsibility for my open container. At the time I was too intoxicated to know what was going on (we were both passengers). He got a ticket which he paid promptly. However, today he received a notice telling him he would now have to wait even longer to get his license back. He was charged with a DUI in the past and was still trying to fix that at the time of this current incident. I'd like to figure out a way to take fault and admit it was mine so he can get his license and get back to work. I am worried if I step in and admit my fault that it will make things worse.
No. Claiming the container after your friend pled guilty and paid the ticket will not help him.
