A man who pleaded guilty to trying to kill a Coalville man last year has been sentenced to 35 years in prison. Jason J. Bringus, 37, of Fort Dodge, received 25 years for making an Alford plea to attempted murder and 10 years for pleading guilty to second-degree robbery. Comment?

Bringus, 37, of Fort Dodge, had pleaded guilty to attempted murder via Alford plea as well as pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery. However, on Monday Bringus asked Judge Michael Moon to overturn his guilty pleas because Bringus had been suffering from severe pain as a result of a hernia. Comment?

The man who made two pleas in connection to an early morning incident in Coalville last year now wants to take them back. Jason J. Bringus, 37, of Fort Dodge, has filed a motion in arrest of judgment concerning his Alford plea to attempted murder and his guilty plea to second-degree robbery. Comment?

A Fort Dodge man has admitted he could have been found guilty of attempted murder had his case gone to trial. Jason Bringus, 37, of Fort Dodge, made the Alford plea to attempted murder Monday afternoon in Webster County District Court. Comment?
