Theft, Mayfield Road: On the afternoon of July 16, a woman reported that as she shopped at Dave's Supermarket, 3628 Mayfield Road, her cell phone was stolen. The woman used a cell phone belonging to another shopper and called several times her phone's number. Comment?

Only two of the 18 people arrested Wednesday during a demonstration related to the Republican National Convention gave Ohio addresses - Steven Fridley of Poland, Ohio, and Dominique Knox of Cleveland Heights. Officers responded June 9 to a report of a man firing several gunshots outside his vehicle window in the direction of the Madison Avenue Bar & Grille parking lot on Mayfield Road. The Cleveland Heights bar that closed after a fatal shooting will remain shuttered because it is a nuisance to the community, a Cuyahoga County judge ruled Wednesday. Cleveland Heights officials established by "clear and convincing evidence" that they are likely to prevail at trial in their claim the Sunny Spot Lounge is a nuisance, Judge Jose Villanueva wrote in his order granting a preliminary injunction.
