Entering Canada with prior DUI supervision ?
Had a DUI arrest in 2014, plead guilty, and was put on court supervision. Completed court supervision and not charged in 2015. I was reading the United States and Canada share the same system for background checks entering/leaving for people. I know Canada considers a DUI a felony and they have the right to turn people away at the border. Since I was not convicted and my case is closed, should I worry about this? Would it help contacting a Canadian agency or bringing paperwork? Thanks
Best to contact a Canadian immigration lawyer over this. Locate one at www.ailalawyer.com
If Daca application is pending can someone be deported for reckless driving?
Friend served 10 days in jail to get DUI down to reckless driving. ICE picked him up this morning on his last day. He is in Chicago now. He has a Daca application pending he had to send it the letter saying his case was dropped to reckless driving. Is he going to be deported? What can we do. Why did they take him today was his last day in jail.
If ICE picked him up, they're gearing to deport him. You need an immigration attorney asap.
How does dui probation in Dupage county work?
Last month I was sentenced to 24 months of probation for my second dui. The judge had told me that I will be randomly tested for alcohol via ETG tests twice a month. My question is will the probation department also test me for drugs (Marijuana) even though the court order only mentions that i will be tested for alcohol?
Yes... it's very likely that you'll be tested for alcohol, marijuana and numerous other drugs while in probation. Your...
I am on illinois rdp for 5 years, going in to renew my rdp 2nd year, but does anyone know about this 75 percent rule?
Under this new rdp law I would stay baid for 5 years instead 1 year now so my is question is about this rule: BMO, third year on RDP and transfers out of state – petitioner should request a waiver of the five year requirement due to moving out of state to be considered for reinstatement through out-of-state hearing process. Similar to waiving the 75 percent rule. Is this saying I will be cleared in another state only but if I came back to Illinois do I have start 5 years over?? Then says similar 75 percent rule?? What is this 75 percent rule?? Can I have attorney represent me to get my license back after 3 years I am HR-ND. I want be free and clear and if I came back to Illinois I don't want be back on rdp, it just makes no sense to me?
Welcome to the Illinois secretary of state quagmire of rules regulations and inconsistencies. This is a needlessly...

Can I move out of the country with court supervision DUI?
I was planning on moving to Korea in the coming month, but since I just recently got arrested for a DUI, it will not happen as quickly as I thought. I still would like to move there though to teach, and was wondering the chances of me being able to do so while on court supervision. I have not been sentenced yet, but my attorney advised me that the chances of me getting this sentencing due to my prior background is very high. I plan on taking all of the classes needed, as well as anything else I must do before the move. So is this possible?
Some countries will not allow you to enter with court supervision on a case for at least 10 years. Canada is one of...
What happens if I don't show up for my final DUI hearing?
I got a DUI in DuPage County, Illinois awhile back. I was given supervision but was unable to complete all of my community service on time per my sentence. The SA filed a Petition to Revoke and I was given more time to complete the community service. I have now completed it and all of the requirements. The Probation department has confirmed receipt of everything. However, I have to be out of town for my final date, which is next week. I didn't know this until yesterday. Do I have any options in terms of continuing it for even 4 or 5 days? What happens if I don't show despite completing all of the requirements? Thanks in advance.
You don't tell us why you have to be out of town. If it's work related, that's a good reason. If it's purely pleasure,...
