A Chillicothe man has been indicted on charges stemming from a shooting that resulted in death. According to Rick Hannan, an investigator with the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, James T. Three people were arrested on charges stemming from a meth operation found a vehicle in Chillicothe. Police Officer Bud Lytle said authorities were called to the 700-block of Madison Avenue at 7:15pm, Wednesday, and, upon arrival, they located several one-pot meth labs in the vehicle: "They also found 14 grams of meth in vehicle, which led to them searching the residence of 767 Madison Avenue, where they found more chemicals and more items in the manufacture of meth." A suspect has pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of a woman whose slaying is one of several deaths and disappearances troubling a southern Ohio city. The indictment carries the possibility of additional prison time because the 37-year-old McCrary is alleged to have used a gun in the slaying and is allegedly a repeat violent offender under Ohio law because of a previous conviction of aggravated robbery. Local investigators are looking into any possible connection between an Oregon man killed by an escort in West Virginia and local missing women and homicide cases. The Ross County Prosecuting Attorney announced Friday that 37-year-old Jason McCrary was officially indicted on a murder charge in Claytor's death. The indictment goes on to state McCrary used a firearm in the shooting death and was also a repeat violent offender with a previous robbery charge. Comment?
