Will I be able to get a conditional license or state ID immediately following a DWI conviction?
I was arrested in March for Aggravated DWI, among other charges. This is my first offense. My court date is on Thursday, April 27th, and the judge told me at my first appearance that he would be taking my license on this day. My problem is that I have to fly on Sunday, June 4th to Wisconsin for work training (returning Tuesday, June 6th), and I'm really concerned that I will not have a valid form of identification by this time. I have been reading that you can keep your license for up to 20 days after conviction before applying for a conditional, but I'm not sure if this will be the case for me? If it is, I fear it will not allow enough time for the order and shipment of the Conditional License to arrive before my flight date. Is it possible to apply for a conditional license the day after conviction? I am more concerned about having a valid form of ID in time for my flight than I am about retaining my driving privileges. Would applying for a State Non-Driver ID possibly be a temporary option the day after conviction, and then could I apply for a conditional license after the fact (like, in June, after I have returned from training?)
If you have no prior alcohol related traffic incident in the past 5 years then you should be eligible for a conditional...
What to expect for a first time dwi? I have other prior offenses that are not related and also I have tickets none outstanding.
I work for NYS and was pulled over after coming up a one way street, I am new to the area where I now reside and took the street to be a two way. After the officer ran a series of test I was asked to take a Breathalyzer where I blew 1.06. I was taken inside the station where I was fingerprinted and so forth, given a ticket and a ride home from the officer.
It is very unlikely you blew a 1.06, or you'd be dead, a few times over. I will make a guess that you actually blew a ....

To get license need to pay fines of almost 10.000. should I get a lawyer?
It sounds like you need to pay your fines in order to move on with your life. I do not believe you need an attorney to...
Is there a way I can ensure that the judicial system recognizes a person's medical disabilities when facing a legal issue?
My son was arrested for DWI a block away from our home in JULY 2016. He is 27 yrs old, survived a severe MVA rollover in '09, leaving him with severe disabilities, including a TBI, a reattached arm, blindness & facial paralysis. He has a prior DUI 9 yrs prior, although he has never gotten his driver's license. He receives SSD, and following physician's advice, we moved to upstate for a better chance of healing from is TBI. Attempting to get him re-involved in community affairs, signed him up with a local soup kitchen. Attempting to decide if an old car would be safe to put on the road, hoping for him to get his license, we were pulled over a block away while test driving. He was taken to the station as he couldn't perform the breathalyzer as a result of 7th nerve damage. The troopers eventually got a reading, but my son was severely bruised on his severed arm by one of the officers.. His own lawyer doesn't feel we should mention to the court that he has disabilities, yet the preliminary probation reports make him appear oppositional as per trooper's. I am worried about the outcome of his case, as his disabilities are not being considered even by the lawyer we retained. Help!
If you're son is not happy with his attorney, he can fire him and hire another. While his disability could be a defense...
How bad is A DWAI?
I plead nolo contendere to a DWAI violation 8-10 years ago. It was suppose to be removed from my record after 7-10 years but b/c of law changes in NYS it won't be. I'm a professional working with children with developmental disabilities in non profit organizations. I've never had any other problems. I'm a mother looking to buy a house, get a new job and go back to school. What impact will this have? Is there any hope of hiding it?
A DWAI is a violation, a non-criminal offense, which means that you are, and have always been, able to answer the...
If arrested twice for DWI/DUI in Florida, but leaves state before appearing in court, how long is before charges are dropped?
This person has said he cannot go back to Florida for fear of being arrested.
If the defendant was arrested, appeared in court and stopped going then there is probably a warrant out for his arrest....
