My DL was destroyed and my DUI was dismissed. Can I get my license replaced?
I was arrested for DUI and blew a .036. Spent the night in jail and local PD took my license and destroyed it.The County Attorney dismissed all charges before the Preliminary Hearing so can I get my DL replaced.?
From what you say there is no reason why you cannot get a replacement license, assuming that your Driver's history...

How Do I Go About Gettin My License Back. I Can Make Payments On My Tickets But Can't Pay In Full. Even A Work Permit Would Be Fine!
I think it's doubtful you would be eligible for a temporary restricted license because you are probably ready for...
Will Nebraska extradite for a misdemeanor?
I recently move to Iowa I have a misdemeanor warrant in Nebraska for a dui it's 4 years old I've been living in Texas since I went on the run and they wouldn't extradite me from Texas but since I'm only one state away what are the chances of them extraditing me from Iowa?
That's a great question for a Nebraska lawyer. Iowa lawyers are unlikely to know. Pose your question from a NE zip...
DUI charge, wanting to get deferred sentencing can I move to another state?
DUI Charge in Iowa - .013, first offense. Looking to move to Colorado to be with family and get a fresh start. Not going to get a drivers license will just walk or use public transportation. Just want to know if I seek deferred judgment, will I be allowed to move while on probation? Also I was parked on the side of the interstate when a cop pulled up behind me. Does that give me anything?
With the test result you state, if you have a good driving record you may be eligible for a deferred judgment but there...
Can my probation officer revoke or violate my probation if I revoke my authorization for her to speak to my doctor?
I've been on probation for 5 years and have done everything right for the last three. I graduated from drug court last October so it's been over a year now, and have still stayed out of trouble. My doctor recently changed my ADD meds from Concerta to Adderall and my PO is pretty upset about it, simply because it shows up in a drug test. I know many people that are prescribed all sorts of drugs by their doctors and don't go through this hassle. She's making me report to the probation office in the halfway house every day now simply because she knows it will make me mad. Any help or suggestions on what I can do? I'm only still on probation because I cannot pay off all of my fines.
Rather than see her as "just trying to make me mad" perhaps she's trying to make sure you're not getting high on those...
How long does it take to get charged with a crime out of state?
Long story short I unknowingly sent an underaged girl a picture of my private area who lives in South Carolina. Her father called me and said he was going to the police that day. This happened in August and I still haven’t heard anything. I was just curious if I need to worry or not anymore since it’s been a few months.
Depends on the state. I suspect there aren't a lot of South Carolina licensed attorneys in Iowa, so you may have to...
Is it normal/legal to have the Scram/breathalyzer requirement for 2 years?
I received the Scram breathalyzer requirement for the full 2 years of my probation for a non-drinking offense. Is that even legal for a judge to give that to me for that long? I did get an OWI previous to the offense that the judge ordered my breathalyzer, but I was already punished by another judge for that charge. I also have talked to people who have had a lot of drinking offenses and they only received the breathalyzer for 1 month at the most. I have to take the test 4 times every day, including the middle of the night. I don't get any sleep. I haven't drank alcohol for 7 months now and I still have 20 months to go for probation. I need to know if this is even a common sentence, because from what I have heard, it is an extremely long time to have someone have to do this.
Such things are up to the Judge. Since you had one previously, perhaps that's why the Court imposed it upon you. You...
