Will I be able to get my license back in 2016 or April 2017?
I was charged with a dui in January 2015. I did not blow. My lawyer set up a hearing with the dmv for July 2015 about the refusal. The result of the hearing with the dmv was that I was guily. At this point I received a paper in the mail that said my suspension ran from july 2015-July 2016. I, then, went to court in April of 2016, where I was also found guilty. I had another piece of mail that was delivered to my mother's house, stating I would lose my license from April 2016-April 2017. This seems like a mistake. I shouldn't have to be punished twice.
Sorry, but this is not a mistake. You received two different suspension. The first suspension was under NCGS 20-16.2...

Was it bad that I took a drug test that more than likely is going to come back positive for meth when dss is involved. 8
My ex told the cops after being called on a demostic where my husband was throwing me to the ground hitting and kicking me, that I was doing meth. The cops then called dss out to the scene where they asked for a drug test. I took one where my husband refused. Did I do the right thing considering that I know that it's going to come back postive? And will the fact that I cooperated look better than as for my husband refusing to take one at all saying all he had was weed in his system. Dss placed the kids with a mutual friend or ours. Neither one of us are supposed to be around the girls or face period time
I dint know what you meant by "face period time". I understand why the cops called DSS- sounds like there was a violent...
Driving out of state with restricted license
I was recently convicted of a DUI in Virginia. I was granted a restricted license with the ignition interlock requirement. My problem is that I have accepted a job in North Carolina. I was advised to maintain my residence (my parent's house) in Virginia and keep my VA license instead of trying to get a NC license because my situation is so complex. I was told that I could drive in NC as long as it was within my restrictions placed in VA (to and from work, to maintain interlock, VASAP, etc.) Is this true? I don't feel comfortable driving (out of state) to and from work and back to my apartment in NC, which is what I would mostly be doing, without being sure that I wouldn't get in trouble and be told that I am out of my restrictions.
Since you are licensed by the Commonwealth iof VA, were convicted of DUI there, and currently reside there, you need to...
