How long do people in general have to wear a scram bracelet following a violation of probation?
I know a friend who violated his probation by drinking a few beers a day before he was called in for a random egt test and tested positive. His lawyer got the judge to lift his bond and they increased his AA meetings and put on a scram bracelet. He goes to court in the beginning of next month but he was wondering how long he could possibly have the financial burden of paying for the scram?
Until the judge says so, until the probation is terminated, or until he gets incarcerated for violating his probation.
Underage drinking - Penndot blocks OH license 22 years later.
Recently I went to renew my Ohio driver's license and to my surprised was told that PA has placed a block on my OH license for an incident that occured 22 years ago. The incident was under age drinking on a college campus. I paid all costs/fines at the time and left the university. However, PennDot is telling me now that my license should have been suspended and they show no record of any credits/time for this suspension. I'm not and have never had a PA driver's license. Also, previous 4+ times that I renewed my license never had a problem. Questions. 1. Can PA suspend my OH license? 2. What legal recourse do I have to get block removed? Thanks
Ohio does not have a suspension for conviction of underage consumption, I can't speak on PA laws. You should check...
I had 2 duis 13 years ago and just got another. what am i looking at???
jail sentence, licence suspension?? and the amounts
The "lookback period" is 6 years so this is treated as a first OVI, but if you accumulate 6 within 20 years, that would...
Can I become a registered nurse with two prior dui arrest
I am thinking about enrolling in school to become RN. However I am very concerned to get denied my license because of my criminal background , I was arrested in New Jersey back in 2009 for failaiure to maintain lanes, refusal to take breathalyzer and dui. All the charges were dropped except the refusal and in 2012 was arrested for refusal and dui, no action were taken on the refusal after I provide the motor vehicle judge with proof of my asthma but I was convicted with dui. I live in Ohio and I am willing to work with an attorney to fix this issue
Your prior cases do not automatically bar you from obtaining a nursing license, but may be inquired about and...
How should I handle the rest of this Driving Under FRA Suspension citation?
I was pulled over for driving under FRA Suspension. The officer cited me for violation of ORC (Ohio Revised Code) 4510.16 AND ORC 4510.11. I had my arraignment today and plead not guilty. I have 29 days before pretrial. If found guilty of 4510.11, I could face up to 6 months jail time... That would ruin me as I have a full time job in sales. I can deal with no driving though. My knowledge: - I did not know I was suspended - Suspension was because of not responding before 1/31/17 to random check from BMV - I WAS insured for the dates the BMV was asking for - The email I "sent" to the BMV with my proof of insurance actually never sent.. Somehow it was only saved in the drafts. I wish I would have known that before all of this happened!! - To lift the suspension according to the BMV, at this point, is to pay $150 and submit an SR-22 bond through my insurance company. At that time, my license will be valid. If I reinstate before the pre-trial and meet BMV requirements, can that play in my favor? Should I get a lawyer? What would be my best way to go about this?
If you get your license valid- you should be able to handle this matter on your own. You should go the the Youngstown...
Will I be facing future felony drug charges other than my dui charge and how severe could it be?
I was arrested on the 8th this month on a dui charge. I had totalled my vehicle after hitting a cub and running into a telephone pole. I tried to limp my car forward to the curb a little but it broke down and officers had arrived as I was getting out of my car. I was charged with dui, although I refused to blow or take a urine test. When they cuffed and searched me they found 2 bottles of xanax, I believe it is a schedule 4 drug, but I wasn't given a ticket for it nor was I charged for it. The officer did write on my ticket "narcotics found on person".This will be my second dui. My first was 9 years ago, but I have never had any drug charges
You have a very high chance of getting indicted on felony drug possession in the near future. Hire an experienced...
How can someone be charged with ovi and child endangerment with no positive test ?
If you get pulled over and they assume your under the influence of drugs and or alcohol, they do a field sobriety and you pass, they decide to arrest you and take you to the police station for urine test, they do test and states that it takes 2 weeks for results, you get bailed out for 2400 dollars . Then they set an arraignment date for court. How can you be charged with a crime with no positive reading on the test?
They don't need much to charge you. You should hire an attorney, today.
