Can I get a first offenders burglary charge expunged from 1993 and a dui in 1998?
I was on nonreporting probation under the first offenders act in Georgia from 1993. In May of 1998 i would have been complete. A month shy of that I got dui. Want to know how I can get my record expunged. I am getting denied on getting aparrments from a 22 year old charge.
If you were convicted of the DUI, you cannot have that expunged. However, your first offender charge can be sealed...
Can I
Can i drink at home while on probation but non reporting. I completed all the required conditions as per the sentence. Will I be screened again randomly for ETG or any other tests ?
You can, but you shouldn't. There is often a "no alcohol inome" provision in your order.
Can you be put on probation for a traffic violation?
my husband was pilled over in doraville ga for making an illegal left turn. he was driving on a suspended license from alabama. he was arrested and is now on probation. what reason(s) would he be put on probation?
Driving without a valid license is not just "a traffic violation". It is much worse than failing to use a turn signal...
I failed a my probation drug test (swab) and a few hours later passed a lab test, is that enough to not get my probation revokd?
I went in for my drug test for probation and was given a swab test. I tested positive for benzos (never done it and never will have, i didn't even know what the drug was.) I saw the faint line (line = negative) however the probation officers were having none of it and didn't even want to look again. I told them I would be more than willing to take another test then and there (begged for 10 minutes) to no avail. A few hours later I went to a drug screening business (labcorp) and received documents saying I tested negative for all 11 drugs screened (including benzos.) I have a hearing in eleven days. Will I be fine? Do I still need to higher a lawyer?
You may be okay, you may not be. Do you really want to take that risk? So yes, you need to hire a lawyer.
Will one drink tonight show up in my system if I were to get tested on Monday by my p.o? have been drinking water all day!
I have to meet with my probation officer Monday because of a DUI I got back in2015. So far she hasn't tested me. It may be because I am disabled and can't drive anyway ever again. If I have one drink tonight, if I were to get tested on Monday would it be out of my system, especially since I have been drinking so much water all day long.
Yes, you will test positive and likely end up with a probation violation. Definitely not worth the risk.

Do I have a legal right to compensation for loss of job hours and mental anguish caused by unjustifiable incarceration?
In 2014, I was pulled over and arrested for a failure to appear for driving on a suspended license. Since that time, I worked through my license suspension and my probation applicable to the 2014 charges and again received my license on 10-13-16. Since then there have been no charges. I was recently pulled over again and rearrested for the same charge, which is was not listed on my current driving record (however it shows on their court docket), and the court appearance they indicate I missed was dated AFTER the reinstatement of my license. How is this even possible? Wouldn't a suspension be listed on my driving record? I was arrested and detained, paid fines, my car was impounded, publicly humiliated by being subjected to multiple strip searches, and I now have extreme anxiety while driving for fear I will be randomly pulled over for this "ghost charge."
Possibly, but not necessarily likely, as you would have to overcome the legal doctrine of sovereign immunity.
