2016 law for 4 time dui hearing more than 10 YEARS SINCE REVOCATION if approved can I be approved for reinstatment in diff state
I have 4 duis and my last one was in 2004. The new law went into effect on 2016 for relief granted to people with lifetime revocation. Requirements 5years since revocation issued, 3 years complete abstinence and all other proof for formal hearing at SOS. This is wonderful for people who have changed their lives and are willing to have a baiid device w/restricted permit for lifetime. There was extra added sections to the laws changed for"OUT OF STATE RESIDENTS" its been stated differently in different reports and on different SOS sites! It states that for people that are out of state/ that they can at hearing ask for full reinstatment to be allowed to drive in different state? Is this for people that had out of state license that got 4th dui in Illinois?, is this for people that have moved to a different state after 4th dui and now after 10 years want to stay in that state and get reinstated through Illinois to drive in the residing state? Or could I move to a different state to get full reinstatment through Illinois in stead of having to stay in Illinois for the rest of my life with BAIID? Please define what this section of new law means?
