A prosecutor on Monday likened the actions of Mark Farmer, an architect accused of paying the former head of the Cleveland VA Medical Center for confidential information on government projects, to cheating on a test. Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Flannery said in opening statements for Farmer's trial that the bidding process, like a school exam, is supposed to be a level playing field. Comment?

Two family members are accused of improperly spending more than a million dollars belonging to legendary late professional golfer Charles Sifford Sr. A Cuyahgoa County grand jury indicted Sifford's son, Craig Sifford, 48, and daughter-in-law, Sandra Sifford, 48, both of Brecksville, with three counts of theft, one count of money laundering, and one count of unauthorized use of property. Sandra Sifford is also facing an additional charge of receiving stolen property. Comment?

Residents of Olmsted Falls live in one of the safest communities in Ohio, according to a recent ranking compiled by SafeWise , a home security company, using FBI crime statistics. Olmsted Falls ranked third in the state for safety from crime, trailing only Bryan, in Northwest Ohio, and Madeira, in Southwest Ohio, according to "The 50 Safest Cities in Ohio - 2015," an online ranking.
