Police asked for almost $26,000 in their 2019 budget request to buy the rifles, heavy body armor and bleeding control kits for the city's nine high schools and middle schools, Bismarck Police Chief Dave Draovitch told CNN.

    The Bismarck Police Department says they stopped 24-year-old Roger Case on Thursday for a traffic violation near 16th street. Police say they searched the car and found an AR-15 Rifle, 5.56 caliber, a black magazine, a broken meth pipe, a glass weed pipe, a homemade meth water bong and a plastic bag of meth.
