Have you ever heard of probation terms being reduced due to a family member’s illness?
I have been on probation since January for a DUI (first offence). I have to attend AA 3 times a week and I test 4 times a week. My Dad was recently diagnosed with MDS and he requires a bone marrow transplant. He did find a match and has been admitted to the hospital. He will be in the hospital for about 30 days. After that he will require 24/7 care for about 1 month and then his required care will slowly dwindle. I am the only family member that lives in Michigan.
Yes, I've heard of probation terming being reduced or modified due to a family member's illness. Contact the attorney...
Individual is arrested for OWPD in April 2014 and lab/results were completed by MSP, why hasn't Oakland County issued warrant.
Lab results were completed June 2014. This individual has on their record two DWI's, so this is 3rd offense. Have contacted MADD and their calls to PD and prosecutor have not been returned.
It could be any number of reasons. Perhaps they have other pressing cases that are a higher priority or the prosecutor...
What happens when a DUI convictor voliates his probabtion? The violation was missing a meeting with PO but called to reschedule.
My husband was convicted of a DUI back in Aug of 2013 and has paid all his fines, did his community service, continues to go blow randomly. However since my husband has so much going on in his life with work (teacher), school, family (new baby) and probabtion he forgot a meeting with his probabtion officer; in which his probabtion officer now has him going in front of the judge for violating probabtion, however once my husband remembered that he missed his meeting, he called and emailed his probabtion officer which was 3-4 days after the scheduled meeting to reschedule, the PO stated there was nothing she could do. My husband has no prior offenses, no criminial background at all, he is also employed for the school system.
I cannot overstate how important it is for your husband to retain a criminal defense lawyer to present his arguments....
How to request an early court date?
I am 19 and i was charged with a MIP. I blew .032 and it is my first offense. I have never been in trouble with the law. I go to college in a different state and I am scared that my court date will be when i am already gone. Can I request an early court date?
You can always request it. The court can say yes or no. It might help to have an attorney make the request. I point...
What is the statue of limitations on DUI charge?
In 2003 my boyfriend got his 2nd DUI and got charged with it and served 4 months in 2005. Got out and was put on probation, he went to one probation meeting and never went back, is there a statue of limitation on just probation charge or can they go and charge him and sentence him for more time. it is now 2017 and he has not gotten into any other trouble he goes to work every day and provides for our family.
Unfortunately, not showing up does not make the judge's order of probation disappear. He should hire a lawyer to assist...
Was this an unfair sentencing ?
My son was charged with a dui he was ordered to do breath testing every day for two months until next court date he failed only one breath test and was sentenced 93 days in jail .
More information would need to be known to determine whether the judge committed error. You should immediately and...
I am getting a positive ETG urine sample retested by a lab for alcohol. This was an ETG ONLY test. Will they also do a drug test
I am supposed to be finished with 18 months of probation. Yesterday (my release date) my probation officer called me and said that an ETG I took on Sunday the 9th came back positive. I have not had any alcohol whatsoever to drink for several months. There is no reason that this test should be positive, unless the lab made a mistake. I took the ETG voluntarily, after having a slightly late PBT on Saturday, thinking it was the right thing to do as assurance that I had not consumed any alcohol. Well, it backfired. I insisted that I have been sober and the sample got sent back to the lab for confirmation. I know that if they retest it for alcohol it will be negative. But are they also going to test it for drugs? I am not required to take drug tests except for the day after every holiday. This was an alcohol only urine test. The only thing I can think of is that the lab made a mistake, or the positive was triggered by hairspray, body spray, etc.
The ETG test is a relatively new test to measure a hormone produced by your body when alcohol is introduced into your...
