Can a pending DWI charge be transferred from NY to FL?
My daughter got a DWI in NY. She missed 3 out of 4 court appearances. Thus, the case is still pending. She was never told to attend any type of classes, given fines, or probation. She went to FL for a visit and decided to move there. She told us that she spoke to an atty who will simply "transfer" the case to FL so that she can deal with it there. Is this actually possible? That a pending case (where she hasn't been compliant) can simply be transferred to a new state?
I've never heard of this being the case.
This should have been seen in 2015...but wasn't till 2017. What's your thoughts on this?
My daughter has lived in pain for the last several years. We have had all sorts of tests, from x-rays, MRI's, Nuclear Bone Scan, PT, blood tests, etc. All test have come back negative and no reason for pain. We went to Boston, had an MRI done in 2017; the MRI showed a tethered spinal cord. I was beside myself and a little annoyed. I asked the Dr. why wouldn't this be seen when we had the MRI done in our area. He then pulled the MRI from 2015 up on the screen and compared it to 2017 MRI that he ordered in his facility. Long behold...he could see the tethered spinal cord on the 2015 and the 2017. Her surgery was performed June 2017 in Boston and now we are in the healing process.

Would this be medical malpractice? Please forgive the multiple entries...I didn't realize I was initially posting under DUI?
My daughter (now 12) has lived in pain for the last several years. We have had all sorts of tests, from x-rays, MRI's, Nuclear Bone Scan, PT, blood tests, etc. All test have come back negative and no reason for spine pain. Have seen several Dr's, from PCP, Ortho, Spine Dr, Pediatric Ortho, and finally Boston. MRI done in Boston in May 2017; the MRI showed a tethered spinal cord. I was beside myself and annoyed. I asked the Boston Dr. why wouldn't this tethered spinal cord have been seen when we had an MRI done in our area, 2 years earlier. The Boston Dr. then pulled the MRI from 2015, which was done in our area, up on his screen and also put the 2017 MRI, from his facility, up on the screen side by side. Long behold you could see the tethered spinal cord in both the 2015 and the 2017 MRI's. At this point, as a mother, I was really upset, this child has lived in pain (& depression) for 2 years more than she should have. She has lost out on activities, couldn't attend pitching lessons, play summer ball. Her surgery was performed June 2017 in Boston and now we are in the healing process.
If the doctor in question deviated from a standard of care reasonable under the circumstances, and that deviation...
