Is this right? I have been charged with felony DWI in Missouri, 4 offenses. The third was 16 years, second 19 and the third 20.
I was recently charged with dwi by Missouri HWP in Cass County Missouri. I have had three previous alcohol related Convictions. The first in 1992, the second in 1993, the third in 1996, the fourth Jan 2012. I have completed all requirements of the Court as directed every time, I have never had any wrecks or problems with law enforcement other than these. Always cooperative. They say that I could go to jail for 7 years and possible lose my license forever. I am 50 years old. I was not weaving etc. I was pulled over due to not putting my new license plates on. I am service connected disability with the VA, Bipolar as well as other physical issues and am being told if convicted I could lose my pension also. My last DWI was over 16 years ago. I don't see that as being habitual. I
In terms of whether or not the lookback period (how far back they can go to show how many prior DUIs you have) in...
Can i become a physical therapist with a felony dwi conviction in the state of Missouri
I am attending school now. I plan to have my phd in physical therapy when I graduate. I was convicted of felony dwi before I started school. Will I be able to work as a physical therapist
You have to "furnish satisfactory evidence of their good moral character." But that is pretty vague. Generally speaking...
This morning I failed the BAC test on an ignition interlock device on my car. Since this violates my probation, what now?
first time DUI, one year probation, six months ignition interlock. court ordered by the state of kansas.
Well, it is especially difficult to answer this question as a Missouri attorney that does not practice in Kansas....
I live in MO but was ordered to get an interlock device installed for a KS DUI i got in 2010. Do I have to get it?
I live in MO and have all my life. In December of 2010 i got a DUI in KS. I was given probation for a year no license for a year and now they want me to put an interlock device on my car. Since I live in MO and have a valid drivers license do I have to get the device installed?
If MO doesn't require it, and if you don't ever intend to drive in KS, no.
License going to be Suspended soon
I plead no contest to a dui charge in December of 2011 in Kansas (dui arrest was back in 2008, and I have had a valid license since 2008 due to improper paperwork by the officer). At the time of the arrest I had a KS driver's license. Since then I had moved to Missouri and obtained a Valid new license in the state I currently reside. Will my license become suspended in the new state (MO) after Kansas suspends my license? Will I legally be able to drive with my valid current MO license? I just want to make sure I do everything correct and legally, I don't want to be driving on a suspended license and want to put this behind me.
Kansas can suspend your right to drive in Kansas. Missouri is supposed to respect Kansas's revocation and to revoke...
I live in Missouri and have a MO license if I get an administrative suspension in Kansas for refusal what happens to MO License?
I am fighting a DUI with test refusal in Kansas. I just won my criminal case so the only battle left to fight is the Kansas Administrative hearing which I am appealing. If I lose that appeal, how is my Missouri drivers license affected? From what I can find on-line is that I can pretty much drive freely anywhere but Kansas because the suspension is only administrative not criminal. And what about the interlock requirement? Why should I care if I don't have a right to drive in Kansas ever?
Your Missouri license will be revoked if you lose your KS admin hearing.
What should I do? I missed my court date on a DWI.
I missed my court date on a DWI and was scared. This was 3 years ago. I have not been driving and live far away from where I was charged. I want to turn myself in and take care of this. This is my 4th dwi with a decade in between. I've been told it's a misdemeanor. Do you know how long I'd spend in jail and if I'd ever be able to get my license back. Thank you
You should first retain an experienced Missouri criminal defense lawyer to represent you before you do anything along...
