    A partially disabled 69-year-old Bellows Falls man is suing three Bellows Falls police officers who he claims assaulted him in 2015 when they dragged him out of a downtown restaurant. John E. Curry of Butterfield Avenue first filed suit in Windham Superior Court in Newfane, but the attorney for the village requested the case be transferred to U.S. District Court.

    A man facing charges related to causing the death of his fiancee in a UTV accident is facing more charges after a state game warden caught him shooting and killing a deer one hour after the hunting season ended on Nov. 25. According to documents filed with Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division, Andrew Ielpi, 27, of Westminster, stands accused of a number of violations, including taking a deer out of season, taking big game by illegal means and using a light to take game. Ielpi is also facing charges of carrying a loaded rifle in a motor vehicle and violating the conditions of his release for committing a crime while prior charges are pending.
