Tribe members make their way back to the camp on Saturday, October 29. The Dakota Access Pipeline is a $3.7 billion project that would cross four states and change the landscape of the US crude oil supply. Construction of the pipeline will "destroy our burial sites, prayer sites and culturally significant artifacts," the Standing Rock Sioux tribe said. Comment?

A 26-year-old Belcourt man will serve about 18 months in prison for urinating in his meal tray at the Ward County Jail and then giving the covered tray to a jail employee. Adam J. Swain pleaded guilty on Nov. 18 to contact by bodily fluids, a Class C felony. Comment?

A 19-year-old Belcourt man will serve 60 days in jail for pushing a man down and grabbing his money at the North Dakota State Fair on July 27. Ryan Russell LaFontaine pleaded guilty on Wednesday to Class C felony robbery. He had originally been charged with Class B felony robbery. Comment?
