I was charged with a minor misdemeanor in Oakwood, Ohio for underage drinking. The citation allows me to pay a fine. Is there any way I can enter into a diversion program to get the charge dropped and how do I go about doing that? If I just pay the fine, will it go on my record and if so could I get it expunged?

This happened outside a private residence. (All of us are 19 or 20.) My 3 buddies all admitted to drinking, I told him (The Cop) that I was the DD and did not drink anything. Guess what, I was the only one to get a ticket. The cop said I was lying and that is why I was the only one getting a ticket. I asked for a sobriety test and or a breathalyzer, he said that was not necessary. I also received an underage ticket earlier this year in a different county, that was reduced to disorderly conduct. The ticket I received this time, stated I was in possession of an open can of beer (which is a flat out lie.) What should I do? I doubt the cop will admit to giving me a ticket for "lying". He also told my mother the exact same thing, as she was called to pick us up. What should I do?
What should you do? Be more careful about the friends you choose. Regarding the citation--It sounds like you wish to...
