Aurora police released surveillance photos Monday from a weekend armed robbery that might be related to four other similar robberies tin recent months, police said. In two of the cases, the robber struck the store clerk with a fist or a gun. Comment?

A man accused of trying to steal from a safe at a Barrington church pleaded guilty to burglary Monday in Lake County court. Steven Olcikas, 36, of Island Lake, was sentenced to 6 years in prison for trying to pry open a safe in a closet at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 120 Ela St., Barrington, at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 18. Had Olcikas been found guilty at trial, he could have been sentenced to 3 to 7 years in prison, Booras said. Comment?

An open choir microphone helped lead to the sentencing Monday of a Lake Zurich man to six years in prison for the burglary of a Catholic church in Barrington earlier this year. On the day he was scheduled to go to trial, Steven Olcikas, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary to a place of worship, a Class 2 felony that carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison. Comment?
