Assault, Lake Road: A caller reported he was robbed of $60 and punched in the face in a restaurant parking lot on Aug. 26. Police determined the man was intoxicated. The alleged victim's statements were inconsistent and police determined no assault or robbery took place. Comment?

A man convicted of crashing a stolen truck into a crowded Ohio tavern and injuring at least a dozen people has been sentenced to 35 1/2 years in prison. Twenty-seven-year-old Cleveland resident Brandon Pawlak was sentenced Monday after a jury found him guilty last week of 30 counts, including 13 each of aggravated robbery and aggravated vehicular assault. Criminal damaging, Walker Road: A driver reported someone in a vehicle traveling the opposite direction threw a bottle at his vehicle and shattered the windshield. Police located the vehicle and a juvenile was returned to his mother on July 28. Suspicious condition, Lear Road: An Avon Lake Food Mart employee reported a man threatened him and a customer on July 28. Police could not locate the suspect. Comment?

Trial is underway in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court for the man accused of sending more than a dozen people to the hospital in a Westlake crash last year. Twenty-six year old Brandon Pawlak is charged with crashing a vehicle into the Dover Gardens Tavern back in October, and injuring 13 people. Comment?
