Police arrested two men this afternoon and are still looking for a third for a stabbing that occurred this morning on Fourth Street. Robert Donaldson, 22, of the 300 block of Fourth Street and Fredrick Algood, 24, of the 1200 block of West Avenue, were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault. Comment?

Police say an Avon Lake man was a "Midnight Rider," stealing a golf cart and going on a joyride shortly after midnight this morning. Michael Taylor, 26, allegedly stole the golf cart from Crocker Park and drove it down a delivery driveway past security guards and headed west on Detroit Road toward Bradley Road. Comment?

Police continue to investigate a Sandy Lane shooting in which a man allegedly killed another man Sunday afternoon before taking his own life. Robert Miller, 33, of Avon Lake, allegedly assaulted his estranged fiancee, Emily Phillips, 31, and held Phillips against her will in her home before shooting David Fontecchio, 37, of North Ridgeville. Comment?

A second man was sentenced Wednesday for his part in a crime that led to a high speed chase that ended when a stolen pickup truck crashed into a Westlake tavern, injuring 13 people. Matthew Sowden, 27, received 1 A1 2 years of probation after he pleaded guilty to one count each of breaking and entering and grand theft in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Comment?

Assault, Lake Road: A caller reported he was robbed of $60 and punched in the face in a restaurant parking lot on Aug. 26. Police determined the man was intoxicated. The alleged victim's statements were inconsistent and police determined no assault or robbery took place. Comment?
