The Alamogordo Police Department arrested three men last week after they allegedly kidnapped a 16-year-old boy at gunpoint early Friday morning and then battered him, according to a department press release. Layne Cory, 36, Dustin Wilson, 34, and Justiss Perez, 18, are all charged with first-degree felony kidnapping, second-degree felony conspiracy to commit kidnapping and three counts of fourth-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the release. A 31-year-old man who avoided arrest for more than two months after leading law enforcement on a high speed pursuit found himself in police custody Wednesday on multiple felony charges, according to an Alamogordo Police Department press release. APD with the assistance of the Otero County Sheriff's Office arrested Antonio Pacheco in the area of Lavelle Road and Alamogordo Drive on two Sandoval County Magistrate Court warrants and on an Otero County Magistrate Court warrant stemming from the Feb. 25 pursuit, the release states. The Alamogordo Police Department has filed charges against a 26-year-old Carlsbad man after he allegedly attempted to assault a police officer with a knife during a traffic stop Friday, leading the officer to use a Taser to disarm the man.
