Back-to-back DWI's three years ago....Charged as DWI 1's. However, pulled over again and was charged as DWI3...Can the charge
be amended to a DWI2?
It's not going to be amended. It's possible that your attorney could convince the DA to reduce it, but he would need a...
Does a D.U.I from 2005 disqualify me from new Obama deferred immigrantion law?
I got a d.u.i back in 2005 in Nebraska, got a lawyer got convicted lost my license for three months and unsupervised probation. Well what I wanted to know was will that conviction automatically disqualify me from being approved from Obama's new law. I've been hearing different things about it as it would and it may not. What would really happen if I applied?
Under the published rules, any DUI/DWI conviction disqualifies someone for the Deferred Action program. I would...
Are there any DWI cases that ever get non-disclosed or expunged?
My wife got her first DWI charge with no criminal record the other day, no car wrecks involved. No breathalyzer test but I believe there was a warrant to give her a blood test without her consent. My question is if there are any type of "deferred" probation or some type of program that would help avoid an actual conviction? Unless the case gets dismissed, is there any way that a DWI case could be expunged and/or non-disclosed?
There is NOT a possibility of a deferred. DWI and murder are just about the only crimes in Texas that you cannot get a...

i was in a hard ship case and tried to get loan modification from chase bank they denied me a modification so i went to two other banks and was approved for refinance and got financing from wells fargo and when they tried to refinance i was told that chase tied up my loan so that only chase could refinance and they refused to refinance at a lower interest rate and they started forclosure proceedure and horassed me for 5 yrs though i was a disabled vietnam vet and perminently disabled unable to make a livsing. i filled chapter 7 bankrupcy and chase refused to take my kees and posetion of my home. i was told they may not be able to take my home because of what they did. they offeredme money to put home up fo short sale and other unscrupulous tactics to take my home and when they finaly forclosed the judge told me and my wife that chase did not whant our money they whanted our property as they where part of a bankers group developing that portion of paninsula and had financeual interest in our property. they ruined our credit for past 7 yrs and my wife was not even on the loan. the account was closed with a zerro ballance & chase still accessed my credit reports with a negative report

Am I allowed to drive (complying with terms of parole curfew times) until such time that I receive a suspension letter from DPS?
Last year in February, was arrested for DUI (first offense, highest level, plus I had had my kids in the car) Out of State (OoS), where I was a resident and had a valid DL. The very next week we moved to TX, and maintained contact with the officer. The criminal proceedings didn't start until June, but by that time, we had already surrendered OoS license and transferred registration (as per the 90 day grace period requirements in Texas). Additionally, I completed a Drug/Alcohol class, Parenting Class, and obtained clearance from TXCPS. I made it to every step of the trial process OoS, and completed the Alcohol Driving Safety class for that state. Last month, was found guilty in OoS of Misdemeanor DUI and child endangerment, sentenced and fined, and served the minimum and released on Parole back to the TX (transfer pending), where I am a resident. I plan to have ALL fines paid (up to and including Supervision Fees up to the max date) as of tomorrow.
Not really sure of an answer. Are you suspended by the OOS license? Probably need to discuss with attorney OOS that...

I just turned 17 in 1996 me and a friend got drunk and came up with a plan to rob a store he had a gun I had a knife we started walking to the store then changed our minds and headed back home then a cop car drives up so we ran and were caught. Still extremely drunk we confessed while be interrogated. We were charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and evading arrest.
There's no law per se, but it could always be challenged in the criminal case itself. However, based on these facts,...
