Snohomish could sex long-term inmates to Yakima

The city is readying an agreement with the Yakima County Jail to house inmates there at a cheaper rate than what the Snohomish County Jail will charge next year. The Snohomish City Council unanimously approved the deal on Aug. 19. City manager Larry Bauman told the Tribune that the deal was sent to Yakima's County Council for approval.

Daniel Blizzard found guilty of murder in death of Yakima real estate agent

A Yakima County jury has found Daniel Blizzard guilty of murder in the death of a local real estate agent. Prosecutors said Blizzard hired Luis Gomez-Monges to attack Vern Holbrook at a home in Cowiche last year.
