A Weakley County man charged in his wife's beating death pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 17 years in prison.

The Sharon man accused of beating his wife to death last year has pleaded guilty to his indictment.

They believe someone tried to kill him. According to a release, the Gleason Police Department found Alan C. Owen, 49, near the Gleason Post Office Sunday night.
