Full story: KJRH-TV Tulsa

Trying to eradicate poverty in a community for many is like trying to bring about world peace -- a nice idea, but an unrealistic one at best.

I read this half ass article three times, and still can't figure out what it says that will help the poverty in Bartlesville..I do know this; ALL the impovished people I know are that because of the damn drug war, people rendered unemployable because of some damn drug, pot mostly, and according to those I have interviewed, a very small amount of pot... where's the crime? Get the hell out of private recreational affairs, and stop screwing up peoples lives because of political views...and yes the drug war is a political view! that has caused Blood to run in the streets almost anywhere you go. Just like that war on whiskey and beer did. OH AND THE NEW JAIL, it will cause even more poverty.

The people who run this town are pretty corrupt. They just take down buildings that have been here forever left and right to make room for new businesses.. and like you said, the new jail.. this town is full of money yet they can't figure out a way to end poverty? Sad sad.

I think they should demolition all the homes and property of the corrupt and give those truly in need a hand up. If there is any money left over hand out cardboard boxes to the corrupt to live in. Isn't that pretty much what they have done to many citizen of bu~~hole'sville?
