Zonta Club raises funds
The Zonta Club of Warren hosted its 16th annual Lucky Numbers Luncheon at the Holiday Inn of Warren March 1. More than 200 women participated in this Zonta fundraiser in which proceeds go towards community service projects plus three $1,000 annual scholarships.

Man killed in explosion at oil holding tank in Warren County
State police identified the victim as Nikolai G. Briggs, 26. Police said Briggs was welding on top of a tank off Irvine Run Road in Brokenstraw Township when his torch caused vapor in the tank to ignite and explode, throwing Briggs about 60 feet from the tank.

Probation Officer Charged
Warren-based state police filed charges Wednesday against county adult probation officer Jeffrey F. Collins, 37, of Sheffield, following allegations of sexual misconduct toward one of the individuals he was supervising.
