Secret cell phone discovery ended teacher's sex abuse of girl
It started innocently enough with a few rides home and an occasional text message. The 12-year-old girl couldn't have known that the young teacher was befriending her to satisfy perverse sexual desires.
But a Northampton County prosecutor said the relationship escalated into a nightmare, with 28-year-old Keri Ann Brekne blindfolding the New Jersey girl with a belt, tying her to a bed and sexually assaulting her.
''She did whatever she wanted to do then,'' Assistant District Attorney Patricia C. Broscius said. ''When she was done, she would ask [the girl] if she was OK.''
