Mount Olive Area Chamber hosts Legislative Leadership Summit Sept. 23

In an effort to help bring Trenton a little bit closer to the Mount Olive area, the Mount Olive Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Legislative Leadership Summit on Tuesday evening Sept. 23. The dinner event, which is open all business people in the Mount Olive region, takes place from 6-9 p.m. at the Holiday Inn of Budd Lake .

Phillipsburg school officials set expectations for laborers on renovations

As part of their facilities transition plan, administrators hope to leave behind their rented office space at the Warren County Community College satellite and move into the Barber Elementary School. Students who attend the Barber Elementary School will relocate to the Green Street Elementary School, according to the plan.

California man who helps transport 114 pounds of marijuana through...

A California man has pleaded guilty to being a member of a drug trafficking conspiracy that was busted while shipping more than 100 pounds of marijuana through Warren County . Marcus Santiful, 42, faces three years in prison after he pleaded to the conspiracy charge last month in New Jersey Superior Court in Belvidere, court records show.

West Nile Virus Found in Two Hackettstown Mosquitoes

Two Culex mosquitoes found in separate parts of Hackettstown in late August were found to be carrying West Nile Virus, Hackettstown Police said. Samples were collected from Sandbar Park/Alumni Field as well as in the area of Baldwin and 4th Street on Aug. 28, police said.

WCCC Nursing Program gives Great Meadows mother a second chance at career success

A 56-year-old nursing student at Warren County Community College, she credits WCCC with giving her the tools to emerge from a difficult past and move toward a brighter future as a college graduate.

Training grants available at WCCC for healthcare profession hopefuls

Warren County Community College's Continuing Education Department has funds for training grants for qualified individuals looking to obtain employment in the healthcare industry. The Health Profession Opportunity Grants program provides funds to train Temporary Assistance for Needy Families recipients and other low-income individuals for healthcare occupations expected to experience high and growing demand for workers.

Hasbrouck Heights man pleads guilty to embezzling $70K from NJ school district

A Hasbrouck Heights man pleaded guilty Friday to embezzling about $70,000 from a school district in Warren County, authorities said. Under the plea agreement, Kevin M. Mulligan 34, the former business administrator of the Knowlton Township Board of Education, faces a possible prison sentence of three years, said John J. Hoffman, the acting state attorney general.

Warren County man stalks young girl, threatens another on Facebook, authorities say

Already convicted of impersonating a New Jersey State Police trooper and threatening to arrest a woman if she did not go on a date with him, a Warren County man is now charged stalking a young girl and coercing another to send him sexually explicit photos. Brandon McIntyre, 22, faces one count each of stalking and sexual exploitation of a child.
