Full story: Walton Tribune

The original scope of the project has changed a number of times and hundreds of thousands of taxpayers' dollars have already been spent, but there finally seems to be a glimmer of hope for the proposed Highway 138 extension.

Whether we need the by-pass or not, our government seems very determined to spend our tax money.

We absolutely need a bypass around downtown Monroe. Just the number of trucks traveling on Highway 11 (Broad Street) alone has reached dangerous levels.

Hwy 138 extension is a different project than the Hwy 11 bypass. The Hwy 11 extension is going to continue Hwy 11 from where it ends next to Mcdonalds. It will go on through the light past 3 Mariachis restaurant, cross over hwy 78, and go over to the High school and end at hwy 11 beside the new Waffle House.

That's what I thought too. Right near the big, new government building is the planned extension.. Thanks for the clarification.

I beg your pardon, I may have caused more confusion. I was in a hurry getting ready for work when I wrote the above post. I see now that I wrote "The Hwy 11 extension is going to continue Hwy 11"
That should have read "The Hwy 138 extension is going to continue Hwy 138 from where it ends next to McDonalds..."

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Virgo

It's okay to have high expectations, but try to keep in mind that no one can be all things to all people. As the Moon spends one last day in its current sign, it urges you to find a way to recognize others for their strengths, and forgive them their weaknesses. Virgoans' idiosyncrasies must look like strange quirks from the outside as well! Fate ties up the loose ends towards the end of the day.
