The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura and the Cancer Resource Center at Community Memorial Hospital will host a free presentation for people affected by cancer entitled: Frankly Speaking About New Discoveries in Cancer with Todd Yates, D.O. and Marty Nason, RN, MN. Dr. Yates will present new discoveries in cancer treatment and side-effect management. Marty Nason, RN, MN will present new advances in cancer-related psychosocial issues. This free event takes place on Tuesday, December 8, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the CMHS Cancer Resource Center, 184 N. Brent St., Ventura, located across the street from Community Memorial Hospital. Another breast cancer support and awareness event coming up that may be of interest, hosted by Ventura Harley-Davidson:

There is a correction since this was published, in that the event will end at Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura around noon on July 18. At that time there should be several breast cancer survivors in attendance to speak with, for support, advice and encouragement. It is a neat annual event.
