News You Can Use: Mayor's Letter On The Levee

In 1938, the Glasgow Levee was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers . Once completed, the Levee was given to the city of Glasgow, which took over ownership, or "public sponsor" of the system for operations and maintenance.

Thefts, Scams On The Rise

While it's not a sharp increase from previous years, there has been a noticeable rise in thefts and scams in Valley County and in Glasgow.

County Addressing Billing Issues

Valley County government is working to fix a problem regarding financial issues said to be discovered in early June and late May. According to county commission meeting minutes for the month of June, billing issues were discovered and brought to the commissioners' attention.
