Both sides in a battle over a $10 billion crude oil refinery proposed for farmland near the southeastern South Dakota town of Elk Point are watching a pending Obama administration decision on an international pipeline in Wisconsin.

As an individual opposed to the Hyperion oil refinery in Union County, I continually am reading letters in the newspaper suggesting that opponents of the refinery not only are stretching the truth with our facts and figures, we also are making up ridiculous information just to gain notoriety.
