A Garwood woman was indicted on a charge of neglect Wednesday after an investigation into her daughter's 2007 death revealed she starved the 25-year-old and forced her to wear trash bags, authorities said.

Yet another example of a town with the most unusual and backwards people you've ever met. I cannot understand how no one noticed this girl never leaving the house; especially in a town where the cops are rampant for giving parking tickets to parents who drop their kids off at school across the street from this house in the morning! How could you not notice behavior as bizarre as this? Most of the people in this town are so very nosy otherwise. This just doesn't make any sense at all. Just another reason not to move here.

I have lived in Garwood for years and don't find the neighbors to be at all nosy. In fact it doesn't surprise me in the least that this could be happening just down the block from me. Most folks tend to keep to themselves on this street.

excuse me? have you ever lived here? i'm guessing not so stop being ignorant and talking about something you know nothing of..I've grown up here since i was a kid and no one i know has ever gotten a parking ticket for dropping kids off to school? our towns not nosy they just actually care about eachother because its a small knit town. i think its funny you say this when yet your from ny where some of the most heinous, horrible crimes occur.just shut up please you sound really dumb
