Storms on horizon

Almost a year to the day since last summer's Taste of Downtown saw the onslaught of lightning storms that caused more than 100 fires in the county, the National Weather Service had issued a warning of "rough thunderstorms" possible along the coast on the morning of Friday's event.

Tehama County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a parolee at large Thursday night. Trinity County transient William George Daniels, 41, was at an Alameda Road residence when deputies received word of a wanted parolee in the area.
