Rotary Club/Garden Club dinner/auction draws large crowd, raises over $12,000

The funds from the auction are primarily used to fund the annual scholarships for deserving high school seniors who live in Tattnall County, and with a portion of the money raised also going to community projects.

Both Downey and Browder were found guilty of six charges, including Malice Murder, in the shooting death of Eboni Galloway, age 18, on Thursday, April 10, 2008.

Sylvester Ashford to reign as Grand Marshal for TCHS Homecoming Parade

Mr. Ashford served as the first principal of Glennville Elementary School for about 40 years and retired in 1990 with the title, "Principal Emeritus." He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Albany State College and a master's degree from New York University.

Health Dept. to give flu shots Oct. 1, 2

The Tattnall County Health Department will hold special seasonal flu shot clinics on Thursday, October 1, and Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. This vaccine will not protect against the novel H1N1 flu.
